Robmat Butler, a graduate of The University of Tennessee’s MFA program in sculpture, lives and works in Knoxville, TN. He received a BFA in Studio Arts with a minor in Art History from The University of South Florida. In addition to being the Preparator and Exhibitions Manager at The Knoxville Museum of Art, Robmat is an active contemporary artist, whose work has been shown both nationally and internationally. His work has, most recently, been included in Miami’s Art Basel and featured in The Brevard Art Museum’s show Naval Gazing. He served as the Installation Coordinator for the DUMBO Arts Festival in DUMBO, Brooklyn and is currently the co-chair for the Dogwood Arts Festival’s Art in Public Places sculpture program. Butler also works as a freelance fabricator while pursuing an interest in curating local and regional art events.
